1. What is the Installation Gala?
The Installation Gala is a special evening hosted by the Asian Chamber of Commerce of North Florida to celebrate our leadership, members, community partners, scholarship recipients, sponsors, and the continued growth of our Chamber.
2. Who can attend the Installation Gala?
Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be Asian or a Chamber member to attend. The Asian Chamber is an inclusive organization that welcomes business owners, professionals, community leaders, families, students, and supporters from all backgrounds.
3. Do I have to be a Chamber member to attend?
No. Chamber members and non-members are both welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Chamber, meet community leaders, and connect with local businesses.
4. What should guests wear?
Guests are encouraged to wear business formal, cocktail attire, or cultural attire. We welcome guests to celebrate the evening with elegance and cultural pride..
5. Will dinner be served?
Yes. Dinner will be provided for paid event guests and scholarship recipients. Volunteers will receive light finger foods and water.
6. Are tickets required to attend?
Yes. All guests must purchase a ticket in advance to attend, except scholarship recipients, who will receive a complimentary ticket.
7. Can I buy tickets at the door?
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance because seating is limited and we need to confirm the dinner count before the event. Tickets at the door may not be available.
8. Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are generally non-refundable because the Chamber must commit to venue, food, and event costs in advance. However, tickets may be transferred to another guest if you are unable to attend.
9. Can my business sponsor the event?
Yes. We welcome businesses and organizations to sponsor the Installation Gala. Sponsorship is a meaningful way to support the Chamber, promote your business, and invest in scholarships and community programs.
10. What does my ticket support?
Your ticket helps support the cost of the event, scholarship recognition, community programming, and the Chamber’s mission to engage, inspire, and enrich Asian businesses, professionals, and the broader community.
11. Will there be networking at the event?
Yes. The Installation Gala is also a networking opportunity. Guests will have the chance to meet business owners, professionals, elected officials, community leaders, sponsors, and Chamber members.
12. Will there be cultural performances?
Yes. The event may include cultural performances and special presentations to celebrate the diversity and beauty of the Asian community.
13. Can children attend the event?
Yes, children may attend with a purchased ticket. Because this is a formal dinner program, parents should consider whether the event setting is appropriate for younger children.
14. Will volunteers receive food and drinks?
Yes. We truly appreciate our volunteers and will provide light finger foods and water during the event.
15. Will student volunteers receive school volunteer hours?
Yes. All student volunteers will receive credit for the hours they volunteer with the Asian Chamber.
16. Will performers and volunteers have seating at the event?
Because seating is limited and reserved for paid guests, performers and volunteers who would like to stay and enjoy the full dinner program may purchase a separate ticket.
17. Do scholarship recipients have to pay for their dinner ticket?
No. Students who are receiving scholarships will receive a complimentary event ticket.
18. Do parents or family members of scholarship recipients need to purchase tickets?
Yes. To help support the scholarship program and the mission of the Chamber, we kindly ask that all guests, including parents, family members, and friends of scholarship recipients, purchase tickets at the available event rate.
19. Is there a limit on how many family members or friends can attend to support a scholarship recipient?
No. There is no limit. We welcome family, friends, and community members to join us in celebrating the students, as long as tickets are purchased in advance..
20. If I donate a full $1,000 scholarship, can I present the scholarship to the student on stage?
Yes. If you or your business funds a full $1,000 scholarship, we would be honored to welcome you on stage to help present the scholarship to the student.
21. If I donate $1,000 toward a scholarship, do I still need to purchase my own event ticket?
Yes. Since the full $1,000 contribution goes directly toward funding the scholarship, event tickets are separate. However, we are happy to offer scholarship donors a discounted member-rate ticket to attend and celebrate with us.
22. Can I donate a different amount toward the scholarship fund?
Absolutely. Any amount you wish to contribute is greatly appreciated. Every donation helps us support deserving students and continue investing in the next generation of leaders.
23. How can I support the scholarship program if I cannot attend?
You may still contribute to the scholarship fund even if you are unable to attend the event. Your support will still make a meaningful impact in helping students achieve their educational goals.
24. Will there be assigned seating?
Some seating may be reserved for sponsors, VIP guests, scholarship recipients, and program participants. General guests will be seated based on the event seating plan.
25. Can I sit with my family or group?
We will do our best to seat families and groups together when tickets are purchased together or when seating requests are made in advance.
26. Where should I park?
Parking information will be shared with registered guests before the event. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in.
27. What time should guests arrive?
Guests should arrive during the check-in and networking time listed on the event ticket or invitation. Arriving early helps ensure a smooth check-in before the dinner program begins.
28. Will photos and videos be taken at the event?
Yes. Photos and videos may be taken for Chamber marketing, social media, and community highlights. By attending, guests understand they may appear in event photos or videos.
29. Can I promote my business at the event?
Sponsors may receive promotional opportunities based on their sponsorship level. General attendees are welcome to network and bring business cards, but vendor tables or promotional displays must be approved in advance.
30. Can I volunteer even if I am not a Chamber member?
Yes. We welcome volunteers who want to support the event and the Chamber’s mission. Volunteer roles may include check-in, greeting guests, helping performers, assisting with setup, and supporting the event team.
31. Who do I contact if I have questions about tickets, sponsorship, scholarships, or volunteering?
Guests may contact the Asian Chamber event team through the Chamber website or designated event contact listed on the flyer or registration page.
32. Why is the Chamber raising scholarship funds?
The Chamber believes in investing in the next generation of leaders. Scholarship funds help recognize and support students who are working hard toward their education and future goals.
33. Can my donation be made in honor of someone or a business?
Yes. Scholarship donations may be made in honor of a person, family, business, or organization. Please let the Chamber know how you would like the donation recognized.
34. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Guests should consult their tax professional regarding deductibility. The Chamber can provide available documentation for your contribution upon request.
35. Will elected officials or community leaders attend?
The event is expected to include business leaders, community partners, sponsors, and invited public officials. Confirmed guests may be announced closer to the event.
